HORSESHIT!  I’m not giving up a damn thing so some black can sit on his/her ass and live off the fat of the land! Slavery when it existed in the US ‘WAS LEGAL’ yes that’s right it was not against the law.  So now over 100 years later you want to punish non-blacks for something that was legal for 100′s of years! That’s like saying that once upon a time smoking was legal in almost all places in the US and now its not.  So does that mean we should go back over the last 200 years plus and fine/imprison all those now alive and all the descendants of those who smoked in places that its now illegal to smoke in? Listen folks this reparations thing is just another excuse for ‘free money’ to be given to those who didn’t work for it.  And BTW I thought it was illegal/immoral to assign ‘collective guilt’ to any race, color, or creed!  Oh wait have I lost my mind? This is about punishing mostly whites in a collective fashion and that we all know is now the ’cause celeb’.

Re: Race and the Presidential Race

It turns out that I’m wrong to think that Obama’s election would have even symbolic benefit.  Hans Bader informs us that Harvard law professor Charles Ogletree, “Obama’s top advisor on race issues, explains that since Obama is ‘biracial,’ his election won’t prove that racism has receded.   White America won’t vote for blacks, Ogletree argues, and Obama’s election is possible only because he’s partly white.” 

So, under Ogletree’s drop-of-blood test, if you’re one of those folks who mistakenly think that the cases for Obama and McCain are reasonably close, there’s no symbolic achievement in electing Obama.  You’d better wait for a real black candidate.  Thanks, professor.

Bader also points out that the “ABA Journal predicts that Ogletree, who has long advocated race-based reparations, will be the Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Civil Rights Division during the Obama administration.”  Maybe race-based reparations will be another way to “spread the wealth”? 

Highlights are mine

I touched on some of what the highlighted passages illustrate yesterday in another post.  Now I’m going to relate some of what I’ve had blacks say to me over the last 63 years.

 

“Blacks aren’t guilty of stealing.  We’re only taking back what the whites stole from someone else or kept blacks from getting.  Blacks don’t murder whites its only payback for centuries of lynchings.  Hell yes blacks should get reparations because we need the money.”

And that’s only a sample of what I’ve have various blacks tell me and if those statements aren’t racist I don’t know what is.  As long at the fable exists that blacks can’t be racist then whites are going to become not less racist, but more racist.

Now let me say something about reparations.  There are millions of white Americans who’s ancestors did not arrive in the US until well after 1900 and therefore long after slavery was over.  So what guilt do those people incur in this racial fracas?  Well of course the answer is none, but its enough that they are white to incur the wrath of some blacks and all self hating whites.

Now as to actually paying reparations.  There was a study carried out many years ago about the ‘redistributing the wealth’.  It was found that if you divided up all the money in that nation equally that those who had a preponderance of the money before it was divided would have all that money back plus 10% more in less than two years.  That says something in and of itself and I don’t have to tell you what it says.

I don’t have a lot of money because I’ve spent a lot of mine on things I like, my family liked or just having fun and toys.  However what I have is mine and be damned if I’ll give any of it to anyone else.  And don’t believe that Socialist B/S about new taxes being on only the rich starting around $250,000.  We the American people have been lied to before about that sort of thing and I for one am not buying it again.

And last but never least.  If you’re black and racist that’s OK because that’s your right.  And by the same token if  you’re white and racist that’s OK as well, becasue that’s your right!
