That sums up the problem facing us as we ponder the meaning of Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan’s slayings of 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas. Given his association with a pro-al-Qaida imam in northern Virginia and his preoccupation with radical Islamic Web sites, it’s clear that the radical element of Islam influenced Hasan.

On the other hand, those who condemn Muslims in general because of the actions of Hasan and others like him are engaging in prejudice that has no place in America. Indeed, such stereotyping sets back the war on terror, because we need moderate Muslims on our side.

Here we go again nattering on about ‘Moderate Muslims’ and how if I say all Muslims support Islamic terrorism that’s stereotyping and has no place in the US.  Well excuse me all to hell and back!  Non-Muslims Americans haven’t to my knowledge flown planes into a skyscraper, blew up a Marine barracks in Lebanon, crashed a suicide boat into a destroyer, sniped people of the D.C. Beltway, or murdered people on a US Army base.  Muslims did all the aforementioned and will do more of the same, as soon as they get the chance.

After 9/11 we began to hear all the rhetoric about ‘Moderate Muslims’ and how they deplore Islamic terrorism.  I don’t buy it!  Where are these ‘Moderate Muslims‘?  Why aren’t they standing on street corners shouting down terrorist acts by Muslims?  Why aren’t buying air time to make that statement?

The truth, as I see it works like this.  Yes many Muslims don’t commit terrorist acts.  Does that mean they don’t support the march of Islam by any means?  No it certainly does not.  For me their are no such thing as ‘Moderate Muslims’,  just Muslims who are biding their time.

We’re right back to square one with this rhetoric about ‘Moderate Muslims’ and how we need them.  Well since 09/11/01 I’ve not seen ‘Moderate Muslims’ do a damn thing that’s been helpful.

As far as the 10% figure goes about Mosques preaching Jihad in the US I don’t buy that either.  You actually think the Fed’s are going to reveal the real figure and who knows what goes on behind closed doors?

It’s time all non-Muslims realize they are at war with Islam and the war has been going on since 700 C.E.
