This comes to you via Newsweek and here’s quote:  It’s fitting that Obama’s visit comes just days after the publication of “Charity in Truth,” a Vatican encyclical that declares unions, regulation of capitalism’s excesses, and environmentalism to be ethical imperatives. The document gives moral credence to Obama’s message and to progressive politics writ large.

So there you have it, according to Newsweek the Pope is a Socialist/Progressive née Communist.  I don’t know if this is true or not and frankly I don’t care.  The way I see it is this.  All religions want to have their cake and eat it too.  They want the ‘special benefits’ they enjoy and they want to pontificate on social issues at the same time.  Personally I don’t believe that politics and religion should be mixed.  Yeah I know religion and politics have always been intertwined, but IMO that’s a major problem not a blessing.

My father was fond of saying.  “These people have Champagne tastes and don’t even have beer incomes.”  He was right.  Local, state, and federal governments have spent like sailors on a spree for years.  They all had to have new parks, bike trails, jogging trails, raise wages for government employees, more services for those who won’t and never have worked, and killed off jobs because those jobs weren’t ‘politically correct’.  And now the chickens have come home to roost.  You give me any government budget and I can cut out millions in ‘pork’.  And the place to start is at the top with all the over paid ‘Administrations’ who do nothing, but shuffle some paper and draw huge salaries while doing so.

And you expected it would not be like this?  The current administration in D.C. has the dubious distinction of being the most corrupt liars in US history.  The worst part of this is we all know it and that includes MSM, but MSM goes skipping along praising what clearly does not merit praise.
