I hate the 21st century and the 20th century didn’t blow my skirt up either. Back ‘in the day’ bandits, pirates, terrorists, etc who were captured were either given a drumhead court martial and then hanged or just shot/hanged out of hand. As long as stupid people play by ‘civilized rules’ then the scum of the earth will take advantage of that fact. And no I don’t want to hear that whining b/s about how America has to set an example and be held to a higher standard. That dog don’t hunt with me and it shouldn’t hunt with this nation.

I’ve never been able to figure out why weather in now ‘big news’. Today in my local area we had rain with a few thundershowers. No big deal we’ve been having this sort of thing since the dawn of time. Yet on the site that hosts my ‘weather thingy’ there was a ‘severe weather alert’ posted and all for less than an inch of rain. Perhaps this can all be traced back to when the ‘Weather Channel’ went on line. Someone scoffed at the man who started that channel with a comment something like this. “How the hell are you going to make a go of a weather channel, weather is no big deal.” The response was. “Just wait and see, we’ll make weather a big deal.”

If this were to happen it would kill any recovery for the ecnomy worldwide and make what we are experiencing now look like a picnic. Oil is the goose that lays the golden eggs. Over charge for those eggs and you’ll kill the goose.
I agree with this statement and this is why I’ve never held public office nor lofty position with any company. I say tell it like it is, tell it like you believe it, and stand behind what you say. I see hypocrisy and lies all over the Net, but you won’t find it in my statements. I have nothing, but utter contempt for hypocrites and politically correct scumbags.

I predicted this would happen many years ago and people called me crazy. However this brouhaha might be a good thing. When I worked in the steel mill I knew several supervisors who made the critical error of getting on the bad side of the union and company at the same time. This resulted in those supervisors being fired. Nothing would please me more than to see ‘Saint Obama’ get crosswise with business and unions at the same time. That would seal his political fate for all time.
