GPS System Could Fail Next Year, Report Warns

The USAF is apparently running out of funds to keep the system going.  This makes no never mind to me.  I recently traveled to OK, LA, and back from OH and never used a GPS.  I don’t own one and don’t want one.  I can read a map and I know my directions with my eyes closed.  People who need a GPS to get around are like the people who now just can’t do without cell phones.  It’s silly and neither GPS or cell phones are that important as they’ve both been around in major use for less than 50 years.

I’ve got a better idea.  Let’s tax something everyone uses, like air or water.  Levy a tax on the air we all breath so we all pay for the rotten health care that’s going to be foisted on us.  I’m sick to death with politicians looking for more ways to raise old taxes or put in place new taxes.  Don’t Americans realize that the American Revolution was begun over taxes and a lack of representation in the British Parliament?  Well we’re being taxed to death and if what passes for government in the present US is representing anyone or anything its representing ‘special interests’ and the ‘interests of politicians attempting to get elected again’.  It sure the hell does not represent the will of the American voter or the best interests of the American voter.
