Because while they’re in power they’ve been met with fierce resistance.  The Left believes you should just STFU and do as you’re told by them.  After all the Left has never met a problem that couldn’t be solved by spending other peoples money or rescinding some law of nature.

FBI AND STATES VASTLY EXPANDING DATABASES OF DNA…

The plan it to get everyone in the data base so the level of control over all Americans can be tightened.  One of the worst things to happen in the late 20th century was cracking of the human gene code.  It should have been one of the best things, but as with so many things its been perverted for purposes other than good ones.   Thousands of people are in prison in this country that may be innocent, but states and Fed’s have resisted DNA testing where applicable.  Some authorities say that they don’t have the money, but they have money for everything else.  Other authorities even resisted releasing people who were proven innocent by DNA testing.  Prosecutors and cops don’t like it when people are released from prison because they were falsely imprisoned.  It makes prosecutors and cops looks bad because they didn’t do their jobs right or they just railroaded a ‘usual suspect’  and now they have another unsolved crime on their hands.
