Some Disgruntled Observations
December 1st, 2008 . by BastiSome Disgruntled Observations
Some disgruntled observations about things that have begun to annoy the hell out me.
1. The phrase, “It is what it is!” It was sort of cute the first 5,000 times I heard it now its overused and when you think about it means nothing. The sports community and the military seemed to have adopted this phrase as useful when they don’t know what should be said or they aren’t allowed to say it.
2. Comments about a National Football player shooting himself in the leg in a club in NYC with his own gun. Now first off I don’t know how it happened or why it happened. There are a few rules of thumb you always observe with any firearm. You always assume the weapon is loaded even if you ‘know’ its not. If you’re carrying concealed and legal or not you keep the weapon in its holster (Assuming you’re not going commando and carrying it tucked behind your belt) unless you plan on using it. You do not get the weapon out and begin playing with or showing off for your friends. There are several holsters on the market you can wear with the weapon tucked in your armpit that show no noticeable bulge.
Now that said lets move on to the stupid remarks made by several sports pundits. I watched ‘Mike & Mike In The Morning’ and here are some of there stupid remarks. “Why would someone go some place they think they might need a gun. If you have to carry a gun some place then you need to go elsewhere.” And that’s just two out of a regular litany of whining anti-gun talk. Now I don’t know why the football player was carrying a gun, but I venture to say he thought he might be in danger. It makes no difference where you go from the dives of the world to a church, we’re all in danger. There should have been no danger in a college in VA, but there was. There should have been no danger in a hotel in India, but there was. There should have been no danger in a church in Colorado, but there was. Only a simpering whining anti-gun nut says they don’t go places where they need a gun. What the hell do they do lock themselves in a frigging safe some place? There is no place you do not need to carry a gun!
3. The phrase, “We have to understand where these people are coming from and relate to their grievances.” This is in relation to terrorist attacks since 09/11/01. This is utter hogwash! The only thing we have to understand is that we’re at war with Islam and have been since the bloody handed cult was invented by a 7th century pedophile called Mohammad. The rules are real simple. Muslims want all non-Muslims to convert or die so Islam can rule the earth. There is nothing else to understand. So if you don’t want to convert or die all that’s left is for you to convert or kill all Muslims. Personally I’m in favor of the ‘kill option’, but I’m a bit pissed off since these moonbeams have killed thousands of my countrymen in terrorist attacks.
4. The very I idea that homosexuals can marry and carry on a life in a sort of faux marriage. Just listen to the words ‘gay marriage’ and tell me that those words have anything to do with love or the commitment that is suppose to make up heterosexual marriage. (Yes I’m married and have been to the same woman for 42 years and some months) No major organized religion has ever approved of this sort of perversion, not withstanding the many faux religious people of today who say they approve of it. And no I’m not a ‘Bible Thumper’, nor even a Christian. However I do know perversion when I see it and homosexuals aren’t called ‘queers’ for no reason.
End of rant and yes I do feel better.
