Wise Old Indian

A few years ago someone browsing through the 40th Anniversary Issue of Reader’s Digest (dated Feb. 1962) came across this reprint from the Washington News and found it quite interesting in light of our current debates.

The quote reads:
Vice President Lyndon Johnson received the following message from a Native American Indian Chief on a reservation: “Be careful with your immigration laws. We were careless with ours. ”

Native American Observation!

Recently an old Indian chief sat in his hut on the reservation, smoking a Ceremonial pipe and eyeing two U. S. Government officials sent by the President to interview him. “Chief Two Eagles” asked one official, “You have observed the white man for 90 years. You’ve seen his wars and his technological advances You’ve seen his progress, and the damage he’s done.” The Chief nodded in agreement. The official continued, “Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?”

The Chief stared at the government officials for over a minute and then calmly replied, “When white man found the land, Indians were running it. No taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, women did all work, medicine man free, Indian man spent all day hunting and fishing, all night having sex.” Then the chief leaned back and smiled. “Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.”

Hopes dashed for many immigrant workers     First of all these people aren’t ‘immigrant workers’, they a ‘invaders and they are here illegally’!  They’re stealing the jobs of American citizens and costing the nation billions of dollars each year.  These people contrary to popular belief do not have a right to be here!

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s Airport Earmark    Another boondoggle in the works that’s going to cost the US taxpayer a fortune.

Saddam Tried to Build Nuclear ICBM    Of course he did and if we had went to Baghdad in Gulf War I (Like we should have done) we would have found the evidence.  By Gulf War II all the evidence had been moved into Iran or Syria.

Flaming Car Rams U.K. Airport; 2 Arrests…     ‘Stocky Asian man’…    You can bet this is more ‘rag-heads’ and this sort of thing is coming to an airport, mall, bank, bridge, dam, tunnel, or street corner near you.

New scientific research refutes many of Gore’s climate claims…    Anyone who believes anything in this piece of trash book would buy a used car from a man in a pink sports-coat and green tie.

Illegal Campfire Sparked Tahoe Blaze…    Another benefit of having our ‘little brown friends’ from south of the border running around the country like they own it.

Iraq Ambush Caps Bloodiest Months for US     We invaded Iraq on the cheap and only our technical advantages and the courage of our troops enabled us to prevail.  We have also been occupying Iraq on the cheap and it shows.  The number of fighting troops on the ground in Iraq today aren’t adequate to occupy the state of RI let alone a nation the size of Iraq.  It’s always the same story!  There is always time to do it the FUBAR way, but never time to do it the right way.  We had no plan for occupying Iraq in 2003 and now in 2007 we still don’t have a plan.

Russia Hopes U.S. Willing to Listen on Missile Shield

Russia Hopes U.S. Willing to Listen on Missile Shield

MINSK — Russia hopes Washington will take seriously its objections to the U.S. missile shield plan, Russia’s foreign minister said on Thursday before President Vladimir Putin’s visit to the United States.

Kremlin officials say Putin will talk about the U.S. plans to base elements of its missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic when he arrives for talks with U.S. President George W. Bush on July 1.

“These rockets in eastern Europe are not necessary to counter the threat that the initiators of this project refer to,” Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on a visit to the Belarus capital, Minsk.

“We hope that our conclusions will be taken seriously. It is not easy to brush them aside.”

Washington says the missile shield is needed to defend against attacks from what it calls “rogue states” such as Iran and North Korea. It says the project is not a threat to Russia.

But the Kremlin says the plan will upset the strategic balance and has voiced suspicions the missiles in eastern Europe will really be directed at Russia.

The dispute has caused sharp exchanges of rhetoric between Moscow and Washington. Russia has warned it will return to its Cold War stance of aiming its missile at targets in Europe if the United States goes ahead with the plan.

I don’t get it?  If the Russians aren’t planning on launching as attack then what’s the big deal about us having a missile shield?  This is like me putting up a fence around my property and having my neighbors complain that they don’t like the fence because now they can’t wander around on my property.

We also have the same thing on the Mex border where ‘we aren’t building a fence’ because it would interfere with ‘illegals’ from ‘banana land’ who want to just stroll in like they own the the US.

In both of these cases those who do not want these things build don’t have a leg to stand on!  It’s none of their damn business!!!!

Hamas TV Kills Mickey Mouse Lookalike in Episode Meant to Mock Israel

Hamas TV Kills Mickey Mouse Lookalike in Episode Meant to Mock Israel

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip —  A Mickey Mouse lookalike who preached Islamic domination on a Hamas-affiliated children’s television program was beaten to death in the show’s final episode Friday.

In the final skit, “Farfour” was killed by an actor posing as an Israeli official trying to buy Farfour’s land. At one point, the mouse called the Israeli a “terrorist.”

Click here for FOXNews.com’s Middle East center.

“Farfour was martyred while defending his land,” said Sara, the teen presenter. He was killed “by the killers of children,” she added.

The weekly show, featuring a giant black-and-white rodent with a high-pitched voice, had attracted worldwide attention because the character urged Palestinian children to fight Israel. It was broadcast on Hamas-affiliated Al Aqsa TV.

Station officials said Friday that Farfour was taken off the air to make room for new programs. Station manager Mohammed Bilal said he did not know what would be shown instead.

Israeli officials have denounced the program, “Tomorrow’s Pioneers,” as incendiary and outrageous. The program was also opposed by the state-run Palestinian Broadcasting Corp., which is controlled by Fatah, Hamas’ rival.

This is what we’re dealing with folks, cartoons that urge small children to commit suicide.  If there ever was ‘pure unadulterated evil’ this is it.  No one anywhere in the world can be safe as long as the ‘false cult of Islam’ preaches such evil.

(On a side note its not much of a hero that is killed by his enemy and his cause was all in vain.  However we’re dealing with ‘camel humpers’ here and any defeat is a victory for them)

Jurors Acquit Ex-Deputy Accused In Airman’s Shooting

Jurors Acquit Ex-Deputy Accused In Airman’s Shooting

LOS ANGELES — Jurors acquitted a former sheriff’s deputy Thursday on charges in connection with the shooting of an unarmed airman after a January 2006 car chase in Chino.

Then-Deputy Ivory J. Webb, 46, was charged with attempted voluntary manslaughter and assault with a firearm. He was found not guilty on all charges.

He faced more than 18 years in prison if convicted. The verdict was returned in San Bernardino County Superior Court after a jury deliberated several hours.

“I’m ecstatic,” Webb said. “I thank God first and foremost. I also want to thank the jurors.”

Prosecutor R. Lewis Cope said he was disappointed, but nonetheless praised jurors who deliberated for several hours before reaching a verdict.

“I believe the evidence that was presented was sound and at all times we were very confident in this case, but the jury has decided and we respect that decision,” he said.

I posted a tidbit yesterday showing where a study said that 1 in 6 jury verdicts were wrong.  I submit to you that this is one of them.  This was an out of control cop shooting and unarmed man who was in no way threating him.  The video is said to be grainy and hard to interpret.  Well I’ve seen the aforementioned video several time and I had no problem interpreting it.  The Airman was attempting to follow the cops directions when he was shot.  There is no indication in the video that the Airman was attempting to pull a weapon!

The cop got away with attempted voluntary manslaughter!  I hope the Airman sues him and the sheriffs dept for all they have.

Calif. GOP Chief Out in Foreign Hiring Flap

Calif. GOP Chief Out in Foreign Hiring Flap

A top official at the California Republican Party, Michael Kamburowski, has resigned amidst a flap over the party’s hiring of foreigners, The New York Sun has learned.

Some grassroots activists were riled up over the decision to hire Mr. Kamburowski, an Australian, in March as the state party’s chief operations officer. At least one member of the state GOP leadership also complained that he knew nothing about previous deportation proceedings against the new hire or a $41 million lawsuit Mr. Kamburowski has pending against the Department of Homeland Security.

No word on the status of another foreigner hired by the California GOP, Christopher Matthews. The party snagged an H1B visa for the Canadian native so he could continue working as a research and technology operative.

U.N.’s Human Rights Council Singles Out Israel

June 29th, 2007 . by Basti

U.N.’s Human Rights Council Singles Out Israel

I looked in the media for a story or an editorial about the latest travesty involving an agency of the United Nations, the so-called U.N. Human Rights Council.  I looked in vain–execpt for one major exception.

The exception was The Wall Street Journal–America’s best newspaper and one I can rely on to print the news ignored by other so-called “prestige” newspapers–which not only had an editorial condemning the latest action by this misbegotten council, it also had an op-ed piece from Geneva, Switzerland, where the council met to single out Israel.  Both pieces appeared in the Thursday, June 21, 2007, issue of the Journal and are worth reading.

Why am I not surprised that of the 191 members of the United Nations, the year-old council ignored the real human rights abusers, in places like Sudan, Russia, Iran, Egypt, North Korea, Vietnam, etc., and attacked Israel.  Only Canada had the guts to stand up to the attack (link:
http://tinyurl.com/25vzoq  boston.com) by voting against the attack.  The vote was 47 to 1.

Our dear friends to the south, Mexico, in the person of council president Luis Alfonso de Alba, disregarded the concerns of the Canadian delegation, according to the Journal editorial “Human Rights Hoax.”  This echoes Mexico’s infamous vote about three decades ago equating Zionism with racism–a vote that cost Mexico dearly in terms of tourist dollars and was rescinded by the racist United Nations only a decade or so ago.

Canadian member of parliament Irwin Cotler, the author of the story cited in the link above, calls this vote a “Human Rights Travesty.”  If anything, this is an understatement.

Cotler says the vote makes a mockery of former U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan’s “vision for the new council and of its founding principles of universality, equality, and fairness.”

The council, he says, heard only the Palestinian side in the case involving the deaths of 19 Palestinians after Palestinian terrorists sent rockets into an Israeli city.  Cotler: “The terms of reference deliberately ignored the Palestinian rocket attacks on the Israeli city of Sderot that preceded Israel’s actions.  How could one participate in a mandate that denied a member state the right to a fair hearing and fundamental due process?”

Cotler points out in his article–and I urge all readers of this commentary to read it–that “… there have been nine resolutions condemning one member state only–Israel–but none of any of the other 191 members of the international community, including, for example, no condemnation of the genocide in Darfur nor of the public and direct incitement to genocide and massive human rights violations in Iran.  Indeed, in a world where human rights has emerged as the new secular religion of our time, Israel, portrayed as a meta-human rights violator, emerges as the new anti-Christ of the international arena.”

The hypocrisy of this action would be breathtaking if this was the first time the UN has acted in this manner, but it isn’t the first time, its just the latest time.  As I’m fond of saying, “You can’t allow the fox to guard the hen-house and not expect to find that you’re soon missing all your hens.”

Overpowering the Immigration Overhaul Bill

June 29th, 2007 . by Basti

Overpowering the Immigration Overhaul Bill

Mary Lu Carnevale reports on the effort to kill the immigration bill.

It wasn’t just talk radio that stirred up opposition to the Senate’s overhaul of immigration law. The Internet buzz also drove the hostility to President Bush’s effort to overhaul immigration laws and put millions of illegal immigrants on the path to legal status.

The Senate’s 46-53 roll call in favor of limiting debate and clearing the way to a final vote fell 14 votes short of the 60 needed. Activists who say the bill amounts to a grant of amnesty for those who entered the U.S. illegally had popped up all over the Internet, directing supporters to call their senators’ offices – or more.

Hot Air Network’s Web ad, embedded below, urged “conservatives fed up with Republican scheming on this bill, [to] do something about it. If you gave to the party in the past year, you can demand your money back. Call the Republican National Committee today and demand a full refund. If you gave to any senator or congressman in the past year, call their office and demand a full refund.” Hot Air is a conservative online broadcast site run by blogger Michelle Malkin.

End Excerpt & Link http://tinyurl.com/2yjk8o wsj.com

I agree with ‘Hot Air’ all politico’s not only Republicans only understand ‘money’ and the threat not to re-elect them to office.  After all ‘the illegal’ problem is like the ‘drug problem’ in that if there was no demand there would be no problem.  And just like drugs unless you eliminate the the ‘user’ the product will continue to be a problem.

I’ve thought for years that we’re attacking the ‘illegal’ and ‘drug’ problems all wrong.  We need to make the employing of ‘illegals’ so prohibitively expensive that it will cease of its own accord.  The same applies with drugs, don’t go after the suppliers assets, go after the users assets.

Basti’s bottom line is always in force, its always about money and how to obtain even more money.  Make something cost you all your money and 99.99% of people won’t go there.
